Difficult as it is to believe, it’s going on two years since we made our bucket-list trip to the Canadian National Parks from Canmore to Jasper, Alberta. But oh, what memories we continue to relive and share through our photographs. Today’s feature, “Dawn Over the Athabasca River Valley”, is one of our favorite captures. For the better part of a week, this was the scene we were enthralled with each morning as we stepped out of our cabin door. Set along the Athabasca River near Jasper, Alberta our humble little structure faced southward. As the morning sun would rise over the eastern range, the moisture laden river valley below would cling to a bluish tint while the ice and snow of Mt. Edith Cavell shimmered like gold amongst the clouds. Downright amazing scenery and you can’t beat the friendly, western hospitality of the Jasper community. I look forward daily to our return to this most beautiful region of the world.
