For anyone that’s ever been a parent, I don’t think there’s anything more tender and heart touching than a baby at sleep. But the nearest comparison I can think of is a little rabbit all huddled up in a sunny secluded spot on a cold winter’s day. Such was today’s featured Eastern Cottontail as he nestled ever so still on this 0° afternoon. He’d found that warm spot in the afternoon sun, out of the wind and secluded from the sight of hawks from above. As he would drift from eyes closed to fully alert and back again he was content to enjoy a moment in the sun.
