First off, I apologize for not keeping up with my goal of 2X posts each week. It’s been busy lately with spring yard work, family activities and work related travels which has taken me out of the area. I also got a new tool I’m just starting to try out and I’ll let you know more about that in the future (it goes click with high resolution). With all that going on, my free time has been limited and taking pictures continues to occupy a higher priority than writing about them. So that’s where I’m at.
Today’s featured photo is of one of my favorite birds, the Cedar Waxwing. To me they are not only beautifully marked but they tend to be much more social than many of the other feathered creatures that inhabit this area. They always have the yellow-tipped under tail parts but the wings don’t always have the waxy read tips. Just as there can be differences in markings, there always seems to be one character in a crowd that likes to stand out. As shown here, Mr. Tough Fluff is the tough old uncle in this crowd.
