I’m finding that just as in people, individual character traits are common in all forms of animals and birds. Although I’ve seen many examples before in dogs, cattle, cats and the like, I had never seen such a display with birds as in today’s featured Dark-eyed Junco. I would almost swear he was posing for the camera as he’d hop from log to log. At each stop he would pause, look my way, then hop over to the next, look my way again and so on. As displayed in this photo, you can almost hear him say, “Cheese”.
